Electric Vehicles (EV)

Comms365 has developed a Smart Parking Solution, delivered using IoT and M2M technologies, including NB-IoT or LoRaWAN infrastructure, that solves significant challenges for EV charging operators.

This solution can also assist with managing parking bays and authenticating users of disabled spaces.

Here we list our products and services which are applicable to the Electric Vehicles sector, along with some other relevant resources.

4G Services

Our 4G Fixed IP SIMs are widely used for Machine2Machine purposes

Using 4G technology, our SIMs are commonly used to connect M2M devices. Available on all single operator UK networks, and also unsteered Multi-Network Global offerings, our SIMs are provided with a Fixed IP address which makes it easier to connect to and access devices remotely. With our own carrier-grade core network, we are in total control of everything as soon as the data traffic passes from the mobile network to us via resilient interconnect points, providing increased visibility and end-to-end flexibility.

Internet of Things (IoT)

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of connected devices. Sensors monitor a range of variables and relay data back to our IoT platform that can provide analytics and alerts.  With movement, window, door and asset tracking sensors able to provide instant text and email alerts, an IoT solution can be used to enhance security. We have a number of established IoT solutions for SMART Parking, Buildings, Facilities Management, Distribution and Construction, or we can work with you to develop a bespoke IoT solution.

Global Multi-Network 4G SIMs

Cellular communications are rapidly evolving. What was once seen as a ‘last resort’ technology, has finally come of age and is now supporting hundreds of thousands of businesses across the world both as a primary and backup solution to ever changing communications needs.

EV Charger Network market boosted by innovative IoT solutions

The growing adoption of Electric Vehicles (EV) has created a spike in demand for more charging infrastructure, both in public and private spaces. Many charging stations exist in car parks, supermarkets, parks and hotels, but more are desperately required to meet objectives for reductions in emissions. New EV charging locations would include new-build residential properties and also commercial properties such as large shops, shopping centres, leisure and sports facilities with parking facilities, as well as petrol stations as they are ideal locations for public charging. Are the misconceptions around IoT security becoming a barrier to deployment in the masses?

Earlier this year, Head of IoT and Product, Nick Sacke, looked at how businesses misconceptions around security within the IoT space is growing. Within this article, Nick debunks these security myths and offers ways in which businesses can protect every aspect of IoT, including integrated security at every step from manufacturing to network infrastructure. Creating the perfect IoT storm

Virtually every organisation is looking hard at the Internet of Things (IoT) to assess opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer experience. The widespread deployment of high bandwidth mobile networks in tandem with the creation of a vast array of low cost sensor devices has created a perfect storm: the IoT is now both viable and affordable. But while organisations are flocking to device vendors in a bid to get involved, there are two major stumbling blocks: defining the business outcome and creating the business case. […]
