5 Minutes with Toby, our Sales Account Executive

1.  How did your career path take you to this job with Comms365?

With my last company going into liquidation, I put a post on LinkedIn to see if any business in the area were looking for an apprentice. Mike (Comms365) got in contact with myself, sent over some details of the role I would be undertaking and the career progression I could expect to see when working there. From my apprenticeship I then progressed into an Account Executive.

2.  What are the major components of your job on a daily basis?

The main part of my job is interacting with my client base and providing them with the best possible service I can. I am also responsible for bringing in new business for the company and generating revenue where possible.

3.  What do you enjoy the most about your job?

One of the things I enjoy most about my job is being able to have regular contact with my partners and customers. This then allows me to develop a strong relationship with them and get to know them from more than just a business perspective. This then enables each day to take its own unique twist.

4.  What do you find most challenging about your job?

The most challenging part of my job is the commute. I live around 30 miles from the office and driving in each day can be tedious. However, coming to a workplace where I enjoy the people involved and the customers I work with, helps make this worthwhile.

5.  What advice would you give to someone starting out on this career path?

If I was to give a piece of advice to someone, it would have to be that the harder you work, the more you will get out of it. Sales is about hard work, strong will power, dedication and the ability to go the extra mile when the customer needs it.
